Ripe You Are
23.09.06 14:05

Ripe you are
Against my breasts,
And you dig your feet
Deeper into the earth.
Your hair tickles my nose,
Its scent tells me
That today you lay in the sun;
That the azaleas have bloomed.
The shad were biting,
The tide was high,
Angry and green.
But today, your eyes are blue
And that means you are sad.
I look down.
We are salty and brown,
You are barefoot.
The tips of our toes are touching.
