.:The Sleepover:. (or the Slipover)
20.02.05 02:34

This is an old poem, from 2003 that I never got around to posting here... :o)

************

Facing side to side to shed off our
Make-up and corsettes;
High heels and stockings;
*Red boots and defenses
I take a finger to follow
The story written in grafitti
All over your skincanvas.

Over your tread marks
(from the shoes of men)
Over your stretch marks
(carelessness of time)
And all over the scars
Left by the world
To brand you.
Slap a label on you
Shelf you, sell you.

[a stanza or two missing due
to the bitch that is my muse]

When you wake up,
The touch of a new flavour
Will linger upon morning breath;
And you will wonder,
How long it took you
To come around.
