I wish you could wear me
20.01.05 02:10

I wish you could wear me,
Your defenses dripping from my tongue,
My footsteps an effigy of your trail,
Not knowing where to turn
And I spinning in the balm
Of your drug.

And we can drip dry
Holding out for something good,
Something new, something
We both already know,
Like the sky is blue
But maybe not today,

Maybe it’s going to rain today
And maybe we can
Run naked through it
Overrated as that is,
Swathed in all the ambivalence
Of this story we’ve started.
